Daniel Guermeur, founder and CEO of Metadot (follow Daniel on Twitter:@supercobra), a high company started in 2000, originally created the Das Keyboard because he wanted to improve his typing skills. Since its inception, Daniel has overseen the product management and marketing of the Das Keyboard product line. Originally from France, Daniel graduated from University of Technology of Compiegne (France) and holds a degree in Computer Science as well as a Master in Photonics from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Physique de Strasbourg (France). Daniel previously worked for several oil companies, including Schlumberger as an IT manager.

Daniel is a staunch advocate of open source software. He also believes that people who spend significant time with their hands on a keyboard should have access to a high quality keyboard and that no one should settle for a squeaky, mushy, unresponsive keyboard.

Birgit Schroeder, Business development, Das Keyboard

Birgit Schroeder undertook the mission to bring Das Keyboard to the masses and oversaw the development and manufacturing of the original Das Keyboard, launched in 2005; the Das Keyboard II, launched in 2006; and the Das Keyboard Ultimate and Professional, launched in 2008. Birgit also oversees sales, channel programs..

Upon graduating from business school in Hamburg, Germany, from where she originates, Birgit moved to France, where she spent 10 years working in sales, management and business operations in the medical and technical instrument fields. Birgit currently lives in Austin, Texas.
