Das Keyboard Fans Give Praise on Facebook

Dave M. posted on our Das Keyboard Facebook page today:

“I received my das keyboard today and am typing on it right now. It is Awesome! Thank you for making such a fantastic product. I am a total snob when it comes to wanting the finest things in life and this the KING OF KEYBOARDS. I have pined for one for 5 years and now I have one. Why did I wait so long? Everyone in my office covets it already. I will have to become a reseller!!! :)

Thank you Dave!

Keyboard Buzz: Nintendo Releases Pokémon Typing Tutor DS

In only a few more days, Pokémon Typing Tutor DS is set to be released in Japan on the 21st. The game looks pretty cool (view trailer and commercial below). A game like this pretty much guarantees to improve typing speeds and accuracy for kids. The tried and true cast of beloved Pokémon characters are used to motivate young typists on through the various courses, paths, and roads that the game moves through with each correct key touched. The game-format is catchy and looks like it could easily become addictive- not just for kid typists, but for adults who also want to improve their typing efficiency. Personally speaking, I know I want to try it. Way to go Nintendo!

Das Keyboard Fan Ecstatic About Model-S Professional Silent

The word on the street is that our keyboards are bad ass, but our customers are just as bad ass too. Read the following quote from one of our fans recalling the momentous occasion that is owning your first Das Keyboard:

“When I pulled into the driveway I immediately spotted the box on my doorstep; UPS had finally delivered! Stepping on to the front porch, I scooped up the object that had survived the journey from Austin, Texas shielded in a brown armor of corrugated paper (and bubble wrap). Once inside the house, after dropping my jacket to the floor, I sprinted up the stairs to my office. With the enthusiasm of Ralphie opening his Red Rider BB gun, I tore into the packaging and extracted my prize from within. Before me lay the Das Model S Professional Silent keyboard (http://www.daskeyboard.com/model-s-professional-silent/), a splendid spectacle of subdued glossy-black engineering. From the moment my fingers pressed its buttery-smooth keys, and the text flowed forth on my monitor amidst the clickety-clackety of its gold-plated mechanics, I knew that my quest for the perfect keyboard had finally ended. My first words? “For sale: Logitech keyboard. Cheap.”

Thank-you for showing us the love!

Das IronGeek Competition: SXSW 2011

This year’s 1st Annual Das IronGeek Competition crowned Joshua Baer the geekiest at SXSW 2011 in Austin, TX. Congrats Joshua! Mr. Baer was granted this coveted title, after going head-to-head with five valiant competitors through a series of iron-clad challenges including a Das Keyboard typing challenge, a Fear Factor dig in the sand for smart phone accessories from Seido, SXSW triva from Triviatise, Old school air hockey from MapQuest, and SoftLayer’s “Build a Server Rack” challenge. It was a lot of fun, not only the competitors but also for the crowds and came to cheer them on.
