Who qualifies
Students
Enrolled students at a US school, college or university. One coupon per person, per keyboard — it is a discount on a keyboard you are buying for yourself, not a reseller channel.
Faculty and staff
Teachers, lecturers, researchers and administrative staff, on the same terms as students. Same one-coupon-per-person-per-keyboard limit.
Schools and departments
Buying for a lab, a classroom or a department is a bulk enquiry rather than a coupon. Tell us the quantity and we will quote it.
United States only
We do not ship internationally, so the programme is limited to US residents. Outside the US, our international resellers set their own education terms — ask them directly.
How to claim it
There is no form to fill in and no account to create. Contact support from your institutional email address, or attach something that shows your enrolment or employment, and say which keyboard you want.
For a single keyboard we will send you a coupon code. For a lab, a classroom or a department, tell us the model and the quantity and we will come back with a quote and a lead time. Either way you will see the price before you commit to anything.

Questions about the programme
How much is the education discount?
We quote it per case rather than publishing a single rate, because an individual student buying one keyboard and a department buying thirty are different conversations. Contact us with what you need and we will tell you the price before you commit to anything.
Who is eligible?
Students, faculty and staff at US schools, colleges and universities, plus institutions buying in bulk. Individual coupons are limited to one per person, per keyboard. The programme is US-only because we do not ship internationally.
How do I prove I am a student or a teacher?
Contact us from your institutional email address, or send us something that shows your enrolment or employment. We are not looking to make this difficult — we just need to see that the discount is going where it is meant to.
Can my school buy in bulk?
Yes. Bulk orders for labs, classrooms and departments are handled as a quote rather than a coupon. Tell us the model and quantity and we will come back with pricing and lead time.
Which keyboard should a computer lab buy?
For shared machines, printed keycaps and quieter switches: the Das Keyboard 4 Professional with Cherry MX Brown. Blank keycaps are a poor fit for a shared lab, because they only work for someone who already touch-types and every user is different. For a personal machine, the blank 4 Ultimate is the one people ask for.
Do blank keycaps teach touch typing?
Not on their own, and we would rather say so. Removing the legends removes the temptation to look down, which helps someone who already touch-types get faster. Someone still learning the layout will find them frustrating. Learn the layout first on a printed board, then switch if you want the constraint.
Is there a discount outside the United States?
Not through us — we do not ship internationally. Our international resellers set their own pricing and education terms, so ask the reseller for your country directly.
